The #10 Opinel Folding knife is ideal for carving but is also useful for DIY, gardening, wickerwork, handyman etc.
The knives feature a comfortable beechwood handle. A Virobloc safety ring allows the user to lock the blade when open (safety in use) and closed (safety in transport).
The Opinel Traditional No10 Stainless Steel is versatile, suitable for outdoor activities and challenging tasks such as trimming branches and handling dense materials.
Crafted with a durable stainless steel blade that resists corrosion, this knife also features a comfortable beech wood handle. For added safety, the Virobloc® security system secures the blade in both the open and closed positions.
The stainless steel used in OPINEL blades is a European grade that has been carefully chosen to ensure exceptional corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. With a hardness of 55-57 HRC, this steel offers superior sharpness and remarkable resistance to wear, making it ideal for regular use with hard materials such as ceramics. While requiring no special maintenance under normal conditions, stainless steel may succumb to harsh environments like acid, salt water, and detergent.
The renowned Opinel blade now features a distinctive Yatagan shape, inspired by the traditional Turkish saber known as "toe up." Its unique convex grind provides both durability and ease of regrinding.
Opinel handles are typically made with beech wood, a durable and easy-to-work material commonly used in France. Its light color ranges from yellow to pink and features small dark dashes, giving it a uniform appearance. This wood is highly recommended for its strength and quality.
Opinel Traditional No10 Stainless Steel 10cm Blister Pack features the patented Virobloc safety ring invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955. Crafted from durable stainless steel, this ring consists of two sections - one fixed and one sliding - that provide both safety while using the knife and during transport. This innovative design allows the blade to be locked in both open and closed positions for maximum security and peace of mind.
