I regularly get asked about teaching children.  I am always happy to teach kids however it is up to the parents to decide whether your child is ready to pick up sharp tools.

For an 12 year old and younger I would just ask that an adult join the class to help me keep an eye on them and keep them safe.  I love to teach kids however as they require a little more attention I just ask for some assistance so that I can share my attention around with all of the students equally.  I feel also that this helps your child at home having a parent they can check in with while they are carving.  I also promise you that spoon carving is addictive so it is equally enjoyable for the parent/carer.
