Product details

This long handled swan neck gouge is great for hollowing out cups, kuksas and bowls or any other project where you want to create a hollow.

The cranked neck and length of the handle means that there is no force required.  Let the sharp edge of the gouge do the cutting and the long handle used as lever does the work.

The steel has been hand forged from hard wearing 52100 High Carbon Steel.  It comes super sharp straight out of the box and holds its edge really well.

    Focused long handled bowl gouge

Excellent ergonomics and shaping for bowl or spoon carving. Best suited to two handed use, so make sure work pieces are well secured. Very good for putting a little extra push pressure with your shoulder. Only needed a small amount of stropping to bring it past sharp to very scary sharp.
