Product details

These awesome drawknives are made with 15n20 Swedish steel using recycled blackbutt timber handles and copper rivets.  The steel is hardened to 60-61 HRC.

The 80mm is a great size for kids to use or finer work.

The bevel is ground at 25 degrees on one side and flat on the other. The handles are cranked so that the knife is designed to be used bevel down.

They have great edge retention and come super sharp ready to carve and include a timber sheath made from the same recycled blackbutt timber to keep your drawknife edge protected.

Also available in a larger, 100mm size. The third image shows both sizes for comparison.

Small is often best.

This is a great and versatile tool. I often find smaller tools are much more suitable to the home wood worker. Small doesn't mean weak; this is a strong practical draw knife that has numerous applications. I use mine for shaping walking sticks, wooden spars and a rudder tiller for a small dinghy I am building. I like the control it gives me, and the feel of it in my hands. I love the wooden handles and blade protector. I stained the blackbutt timber with a mixture of linseed and turpentine and it looks fantastic. I recommend this tool.
