Super stoked with this longer sloyd blade. As a budding spoon carver this is exactly what I was looking for to compliment my growing little tool bag. A really great price point for a significantly better than average blade.

Focuser 80mm sloyd blade only

Came sharp.
After custom handling, the blade performed well both with green and seasoned wood.
Tested on Silky oak.
The slender blade was a distinct asset with long slices and the tip wS excellent in tight neck/bowl intersections.
Easy to sharpen and it maintains sharpness without the need to strop constantly.

Really think for the price, with or without a manufacturer's handle, this is an affordable entry sloyd.

Recommend.

Don’t let the low cost put you off

I was tempted to purchase due to the low cost of this blade and was not disappointed. It’s a good quality blade which has a rounded spine and is therefore kind on the thumb for push cuts. I fitted mine with a Budgeroo handle which I made myself.
