Wood Tamer 680 Carving Axe by Strongway Tools

It’s forged in 52100 steel and will have a 22.5 degree (symmetrical, inclusive) flat bevel because we are that confident that the steel will hold up. This makes it a real slicer of a carving axe with zero glancing. Not sure what I mean by glancing? You know that “clack clack” sound you hear when you’re axing and it’s bouncing off your piece? That’s glancing and can be caused by a bevel that is too broad or an edge that is too dull. 

The black ash handles have been oiled with food safe oil. 
Total weight is 680gms. Cutting edge is 110mm. Handle length is 285mm. Total axe length is 320mm from Toe (top tip of the axe) to base of handle.
