Diamond Wheel Extra Fine 1200 grit to suit T-8 250mm
Product details
The Tormek T-8 can be used with the Tormek DE-250 Diamond Wheel Extra Fine to achieve an extra smooth finish. This diamond grinding wheel is specifically designed for carving tools and knives, requiring minimal steel removal. It has a grit level of 1,200.
Why DE-250 Diamond Wheel Extra Fine?
- Diamond grinding wheel for the Tormek T-8.
- Provides an extra smooth finish.
- Constant shape, always maintains the same diameter.
- Sharpens all types of steel and ceramic.
- Allows sharpening on the flat side of the grinding wheel for a completely flat bevel.
- Exceptional durability with diamond, the world's hardest abrasive.
Sharpens all materials
Expertly sharpen various materials, from steel to ceramics and carbide, with the DE-250 Diamond Wheel Extra Fine. Suitable for the Tormek T-8 Original, Tormek T-8 Custom, Tormek T-7, and previous models featuring a 250 mm (9 7/8") diameter grinding wheel.
The DE-250 Diamond Wheel Extra Fine provides a flawless finish to the bevel, making it a top choice among woodcarvers and other artisans. It is recommended to use another grinding wheel for initial edge and shape sharpening, and then utilize the DE-250 Diamond Wheel Extra Fine for a professional and polished final finish.
Simplifies repeat sharpening
The Diamond Wheel Extra Fine 1200 grit to suit T-8 250mm maintains its round and flat shape, providing consistent abrasive power and exceptional durability. This feature is especially beneficial for users who frequently sharpen the same tool, as it simplifies both jig setting and sharpening processes.
Get a completely flat bevel
Achieve a flat bevel with precision and ease using the Diamond Wheel Extra Fine 1200 grit. Sharpen your smaller tools, like knives, chisels, carving gouges, and v-tools, on the side or upper surface of the wheel for a consistently smooth and level edge. Avoid the slightly concave surface that can result from traditional sharpening methods.
To properly sharpen your diamond grinding wheels, we suggest using a jig specifically designed for your tool, in addition to the MB-102 Multi Base. These tools provide essential support and precision during the sharpening process.
Rust protection for increased service life
Prior to sharpening with diamond grinding wheels, always include 150 ml of ACC-150 Anti-Corrosion Concentrate in the water to prevent rusting. For every 250 ml (0.4 pints) of water used, add 10 ml (0.02 pints) of concentrate (~4%). Using water while sharpening with diamond grinding wheels is highly recommended as it extends the wheel's lifespan and results in a smoother sharpening surface. However, sharpening without water is also possible.
