Achieve your best honing

PA-70 Honing Compound is a blend of microabrasives and polishing components with an average grit size of 3 microns. For optimal outcomes, it is recommended to always utilize this compound when honing on a leather honing wheel. A single application is sufficient for honing 5 to 10 tools. With each use, the leather will become more pliable and the honing compound will effectively sharpen your tools for improved performance.

How to use PA-70 Honing Compound

Add a small amount of PA-70 Honing Compound to the leather honing wheel before using the machine. Rotate the wheel manually. Turn on the machine and distribute the compound evenly by gently pressing the tool onto the wheel. Let the paste soak into the leather.

To properly prepare your new leather honing wheel for use with the honing compound, first saturate it with the provided light machine oil. In dryer climates, reapply a few drops of oil periodically to maintain the wheel's absorbency. It is important to prevent the honing compound from drying out on the wheel, so add additional oil as needed.
