Absolutely Tremendous

This is an absolutely stellar knife, I am beyond impressed.

I teach whittling classes and give my students Flexcut knives to use and I purchased this and the Focuser carving knife to try a different brand of the same style of knife I'm familiar with and like to use. I've been using this detail knife and nothing else for the past few weeks and I'm astounded at how well it keeps an edge, I've done hours of work on Jelutong (basically Basswood) and haven't had the need to sharpen or even strop, the edge shows no signs of slowing down.

If you're familiar with Flexcut these Focuser blades are a bit thicker and as a result you can do regular cutting or roughing knife work with this detail knife with a sturdier feeling tool, if you were getting into whittling and needed to start with one knife this would be it.

I can't say enough good things about it, it's razor sharp out of the box, holds the edge, the handels are really comfortable for being so simple.... yeah just buy them, they'll only make you whittling more enjoyable and will only be a solid addition to your knife collection.
