This stunning hook knife has been made from hard wearing 52100 steel and is polished to a mirror finish.  It has been hand forged with a hollow on the inside edge that makes for easy sharpening.  

The longer octagonal handle allows for easy grip without fatigue and extra leverage over its shorter brother.

It comes razor sharp straight out of the quality leather sheath.

We recommend only sharpening hook knives on the inside edge as you have a flat registration point to work with.  The outside of the blade has a convex surface from the tip to heel as well as from the edge to the spine which means that there is a complexity to could lead to headaches if you get it wrong. 

Regular stropping however on the inside edge using a dowel with stropping compound and a stropping paddle for the outside edge is a great way to maintain a keen edge for  longer before you will even need to think about resharpening your hook knives.

Shipping Times

Orders are shipped 2-4 business days after placement and are sent via Australia Post. You will be supplied with a tracking number once shipped so you can keep track of where your parcel is at.

Please allow 5 business days for delivery and 10 business days for Western Australia, Northern Territory and Tasmania.

Orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday will be processed the following Monday or Tuesday.

A $14.95 AUD flat rate shipping fee applies on all orders.

If you require your parcel more urgently then you may select Australia Post Express Post shipping for $20.95 AUD which should arrive 1-2 business days after dispatch (location dependant).

I'm hooked...

As someone that appreciates quality tools, the first thing to notice about this hook knife is its looks. It's beautiful. The long lean well finished handle. Gorgeous leather sheath, tailored to this knife, the fit perfect. The blade, holy.... and this hook knife is ready to go, straight out of the box. It has an incredibly keen edge and the longer handle gives plenty of options for grip and usability. The best thing though is the concave cutting edge that makes it super easy to maintain that ridiculously sharp edge. Thanks Chris for making these quality tools available to us.
