This Gordon & Co Small Curved Sole Spoke Shave features a 10mm radius (3/8") and a length of 235mm, a width of 12mm, and a height of 12mm. Weighing in at 90g, it is equipped with a 19mm wide, 1.2mm thick, 25mm long Tool Steel blade hardened up to Rc 62-64. The handles are made from stunning Gidgee.
The plane can be used with the beveled blade down to achieve a 60-degree blade pitch for planing, or reversed with the bevel up to act as a scraper when dealing with hard and difficult woods.
This spoke shave is an ideal tool for shaping small, complex inner curves found in instruments and furniture, as well as flat and outer curves. With it, you can easily craft spoons, bowls, and other intricate pieces.
