Wild Days - Outdoor play for young adventurers

Wild Days comes from the successful author of Forest Craft, Richard Irvine.  Richard has come up with another brilliant book which encourages our kids to get off their devices and out into the natural world and then by default we adults are drawn out too.

There are over 50 activities and projects in this book which has been beautifully illustrated and is super easy to follow.  

Knife skills, tying knots, making shelters, home made inks, games, making a broom, boat races, camp snacks, making a bow and arrows, the list goes on and on and gets me excited as I write this. It takes me back to the things that I did as a kid and would love to see my kids doing rather than hunched over a device or watching the box. 

Appealing to both forest school teachers and families, this is a book that can be turned to time and time again, through the different seasons and over many years. The skills learnt can be treasured and passed down through generations, in time-honoured tradition.

Remember to always watch carefully over children when they are whittling or carving.
