Von Trott hook and slöyd knives are highly sought after for a reason. Made from 01 tool steel with turned blackwood handles, the blade is made to perfection.

Pete has put a lot of thought into the shape of the handle.  It feels really nice in the hand.

Shipping Times

Orders are shipped 2-4 business days after placement and are sent via Australia Post. You will be supplied with a tracking number once shipped so you can keep track of where your parcel is at.

Please allow 5 business days for delivery and 10 business days for Western Australia, Northern Territory and Tasmania.

Orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday will be processed the following Monday or Tuesday.

 

Australian Shipping Rates

A $14.95 AUD flat rate shipping fee applies on all orders.

If you require your parcel more urgently then you may select Australia Post Express Post shipping for $20.95 AUD which should arrive 1-2 business days after dispatch (location dependant).

Von Trott 40mm detail knife

I ordered and received the Von Trott 40mm detail knife and tried it out with some test cuts.It is very sharp, nicely made and is quite good for carving in tight areas like smaller curves. I do like it and will use for its intended design, detail work. The handle is comfortable for use in my average sized male hand. Recommended if you need an excellent detail knife.

This knife is the most comfortable I have used. Perfectly balanced in my hand and the shape of the blade is so well designed I’m getting to places I’d normally use a small chisel. Highly recommended. You will not be sorry if you add this knife to your kit!

Peter Von Trott is one of those exceptional hand tool makers.
This is the second of Peter's tools I have in my carving kit. Words can not express how good the workmanship is in these tools. The detail carving knife is just beautiful to use. So fine is the blade, but also while still retaining the strength to stand up to difficult woods. It quickly transforms from using it for green wood work to finer seasoned wood for sculptures.
I am one of my 3 carving friends who can not praise Pete's knives highly enough.
