The 710 is the smaller sibling of the 860 and clearly shares the same parents.  The thing that stands out about this axe is that it punches above its weight meaning that it can do a lot of the work a larger axe can while being able to do some finer work that a larger axe is more challenged by.

About the Wood Tamer axes made by The Farmer's Forge

It has been a dream of The Wood Tamer to release an Australian Made Carving Axe for a long time. Once we had finalised our design, we searched long and hard and sampled with Axe makers until we found The Farmer's Forge. Mick's attention to detail is incredible. He was able to take our design concepts and tweaks and develop this beautiful model that we are proud to release to the world.

Shipping Times

Orders are shipped 2-4 business days after placement and are sent via Australia Post. You will be supplied with a tracking number once shipped so you can keep track of where your parcel is at.

Please allow 5 business days for delivery and 10 business days for Western Australia, Northern Territory and Tasmania.

Orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday will be processed the following Monday or Tuesday.

A $14.95 AUD flat rate shipping fee applies on all orders.

If you require your parcel more urgently then you may select Australia Post Express Post shipping for $20.95 AUD which should arrive 1-2 business days after dispatch (location dependant).

Fantastic little axe

I purchased this little axe predominately for my young kids who are just venturing into spoon carving. The size is perfect for their small hands and also works well for me as a smaller axe when required. The build quality is top notch on both the head, handle and sheath and came supplied sharp enough to start carving. The Wood Tamer had fantastic communication, service and postage as always.
